The mum-of-two continued: “I know we have left no stone unturned. But even with all the innovative cancer drugs in the world or a magical new breakthrough, my body just can’t take it anymore.”
Deborah has built a huge fan base since she was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016, which later became stage four, meaning it was incurable.
The BBC podcast host has been the face of the No Butts campaign, helping people spot the signs of colon cancer early on, and has now set up a fund for colon cancer charities, the Bowelbabe Fund.
She continued: “In over 5 years of writing about how I thought it would be my last Christmas, how I wouldn’t see my 40th birthday and my kids go to high school – I never thought I’d be the one writing where I would say goodbye.
